Learn as you go... International tips

I'm learning something this week....Doug's on his way back from his first Frankfurt, Germany trip.. called me up at midnight (i was so dead tired, i couldn't remember which button to hit to answer the phone )...he says "you gonna HATE me for this, but we found this restaurant in downtown Wiesbaden that has King Ludwigs Dunkel on TAP(!) and man, it was so good"...and i just started drooling cuz it is one of my favorite dark german beers...but in all actuality, i didn't hate him or even get jealous cuz "i'd been there, done that"...I know i can go back and do it again, if i want to.

knowing that i'd already experienced a certain location well before he started doing trips there is actually helping me cope with him going there and doing things without me. ain't that interesting?! it surprised the heck out of me that i wasn't even *nearly* as jealous as when we went to Madrid (somewhere i haven't yet been to).

Tip #1: Go travel internationally with hubby before hubby actually starts doing trips to those locations. Then hearing him talk about his trip won't be nearly as bad as it would have been had you not already been there and done that!
