| Well, in the past I've used Alpha Telecom Alpha Telecom - alpha telecom, calling card, cheap call, telecommunication, cheap international calls, cheap phone call, alpha, alphatelecom, cheap phone calls, cheap telephone calls, phone service, cheap international phone calls, cheap phone cards, and Cheapest Chat (which is a call override service - you charge your mobile up, and then the calls after that are free) Cheapest Chat - Cheapest calls worldwide. It's very very cheap - less than a penny a minute to the USA from the UK. |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | Next tip: FLY with DH on a HOLIDAY to an overseas destination.. why?! loads are great on the actual holiday AND most of the crew hotels give little "parties" for the home country of the crew that everyone can enjoy. Such as: Doug's last paris trip. He did a 6 day trip of which one of the days overlapped for the 4th of July. come to find out, the Novotel Tour Eiffel pulls out all the stops and gives the crew a little 4th of July party with appetizers, champagne, beer etc. very NICE of them to do that as i doubt you'd see that type of hospitality over on this side of the pond (i've never seen anything like us doing that for them, like, for their 14th of July Holiday. Also hear that in Rome, the crew hotel does a 4th of july party including hot dogs, sodas, ice cream, beer/wine, USA flags, the whole trimmings and the crews often wonder how in the world the hotel is able to acquire hot dogs?! haha Also hear that a lot of the crew hotels do big thanksgiving spreads and christmas spreads for the crews (over in europe)...so holidays are a GREAT time to take the family and/or just you and spouse. Apparently, doug was talking to the hotel manager in Paris, and he has promised a major feast if doug and crew are there for thanksgiving... so, i ask the europe ladies, do the US hotels do anything like that for your guys? if not, something needs to be done in regards to the hospitality in our country!!

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | I guess it's easier flying on the holiday if you can actually do it the day of the holiday. Because, ususally, trying to get there the day before is a mad rush! I've been successful flying on Thanksgiving (not a pleasure trip as I had to fly to LAX for my nephew's funeral) and Christmas (which is actually getting to be a busy day to fly now). Holidays that fall on a Monday are the pits. |
