Default question...

are there any ladies, that have husbands/SO's that fly, other than airlines/cargo? maybe something like charter...or flying corporate? my bf is just getting started, and so far, they are flying a Saratoga...upgrading to a Meridian...and in the process of getting a Leer/or Cessna Caravan...well, something "big"...every now and then i can pick up, on what they are talking about and such...but, it is definately different from the airline lifestyle...just thought i'd poke around and see what other ladies are out there that have DH/SO that do this type of flying...

I should ask my friend to join this site. Our DH's used to work at the same regional....but now he flies Corp. in VA. I'll see if I can get her to join.

My husband used to fly corporate for an architectural firm in New York City. I would venture to say that it can be even more of a hectic lifestyle than the airlines sometimes. He would often get a call saying, "Gear up, we're leaving town in two hours and won't be home for three days."

It didn't last very long though. He made the mistake of going to work for a friend of his, who is very strong willed like he is. They butted heads quite a bit, and in the end we only stayed in NYC for 4 months. (That was a move I regretted, and the reason I decided I would not move for his job again until he'd been in one place for at least a year.)

if there are specific questions you have about certain terms or charter type discussions, you could always ask the guys in the Corporate/Fracitonal/Charter area over on JC.

so far...i realize the corporate flying is a lot different from airlines...so far...what he does, is day trips to here and there...fly out early, sit, and usually come home late...usually, doesn't have a schedule, spontaneous flights, and you have to be ready for anything...fly several days in a row, but then could have the next week off, and he usually is home every night...in the past 2 months that he has been doing this, he's only have to stay away twice...so, there is pro's and con's...i'm still trying to figure this out!
