It's MAY & NJC Chicago is just around the corner

So, it's finally May 2007 and NJC Chicago is just around the corner...

June 8-10th are the lucky numbers...The evening of June 8th will be our infamous M&G session, just to get things started off on the right note.

So, if your starting to get calendar together for the month of June and want to come to the Chicago event, you're going to want to plan accordingly!

We have a preliminary itinerary in the NJC Chicago forum at Jetcareers.com and so far, our educational track includes an ORD TRACON tour and hopefully an ARFF tour (Chicago Fire Dept at ORD) set up for Saturday. Times are not yet known. We'll be putting together a tour at MOSI (Museum of Science and Industry) or Shedd Aquarium for the significant others and children.

Children will not be allowed on the TRACON tour but we are trying to see if they will be allowed on the ARFF tour if any are interested in the fire department.

Please remember to register and pay the registation fee using Paypal.com or send us a money order to our PO Box by June 1st. Having completed both registration and registration payment will confirm you for this weekend's event.

We really hope to see a lot of folks there ready to increase their knowledge, network and have some fun! remember that it's all about networking now a days and that's what this event is all about...get to know your fellow JCers & JGers, get to know your fellow pilots and get to know the individual(s) that can walk in your resume...

If this event is as successful as we expect it to be, we will most likely have an event next year around the same time in a different location like NYC, Atlanta or somewhere inbetween for all the midwest/east coast peeps.

Hope to meet some of our new JC & JG friends as well as see some old friends!

Just a quick reminder that registration for NJC in chicago is on June 1st which is next friday. Rooms are still available at the Marriott and so far, we have 6 (not including myself) other ladies that will be there...a few from this site, a few spouses from Jetcareers.

the tour and tracon tours fell through - seems there was a security compromise not too long ago and they've suspended the tours *unless* you have a valid FAA pilots certificate (students aren't included). so, not much we can do about that. Still trying for the ARFF (Airport Fire Dept) but not sure as of even now.

doesn't matter, we'll still have fun!

If you need anything, we are around for that time, so we can be a ride for some if needed, though I may need to borrow a different car from family since I have a civic. The group is more than welcome to come grill at our place, but we are about a 15 min drive from the station. Wouldn't mind picking people up if needed. Let me know what I can do.

Also, I just remembered...if any of you ladies are teachers, bring proof of teaching. You get into the museums downtown free as an educator. Just need an id or pay stub.

Sarah, you know i'd totally take you up on using the house IF we all had the means for transportation. There's just not enough money to rent a van for a day (that would take all food/bev money) and i don't want you guys to be shuttling people around - that would be so unfair!!

Most likely, we're gonna meet at the marriott and go from there - my bet is we'll use the sports grill there and then go to hooters or bennigans or grab a train to find someplace close for other socialization. haha

That will be a good time. I completely understand about the distance thing. Trust me, even the people john work with complain about coming out to see us and drink...often times we have people crashing on the floor and in the guest room. (I know, big suprise with a bunch of twenty-somethings.)

Just wanted to say I had a great time this weekend!!! Met up with Sarah (Flygirl813126), Emily (Tallgrl98), Kristen (Seatclutcher), Christine (clumpinglitter on JC) and hopefully talked Cindy into joining as well!!

It was great to meet the new girls and see some familiar faces. Sarah, let me know how much we owe John in gas for last night! haha

One of the JC guys wanted to go to a particular location just north of downtown chicago.. but after driving for who knows how long, we just could not find a parking spot so we decided to met up elsewhere in which we also had to search and search for parking. ugh, what a time... but ya'll might have talked me into getting a jetta! seriously.. haha

We'll do it again soon as NJC Vegas is just around the corner now.. if any of you can make it out, it would be great to see you again and it would be great to have all the other ladies come out as well!
