| Hello, just wanted to let you ladies know that if your DH/SO is looking to apply at a Regional this year, Air Wisconsin Airlines (US Airways Company) is hiring. Because of attrition Air Wisconsin will be hiring approximately 14 pilots a month. Because my DH is currently on the management side of things- I am hearing the inside scoop. Air Wisconsin will be at the ATL Airline Job Fair on May 19th and will be conducting on the spot job interviews. WOW! Therefore saving the pilot and the company time, money, and efforts. Feel free to email me with any questions re: Air Wisconsin. If I can't answer them--I know someone who can! ![]() |

| Do you know what the upgrade time is looking like? DH has been thinking about a lateral move if the upgrade times make it worthwhile. He's frustrated after almost four years and still getting uncommutable lines and no upgrade anywhere in sight. |

| I told my DH he should go to Air Wisconsin so we can move to VA Beach! I miss living there. But he said no. LOLQuote:
SkyWest his a low upgrade time at the moment. DH upgraded after 1y8m. He was told in training that it might get as low as 8m's for the CRJ....but he just heard from a friend that they are going to stop growing. Not sure if that is true.

| I heard that PSA and Pinnacle are hiring with no published minimums. Also, Piedmont is hiring with 500/100 and 300/50 for aviation university grads. PLUS a $5000 signing bonus! Geez, maybe I could get current again and apply since I'd have the times ! Wow! Things sure have changed since Bill started flying. At that time the only jobs were pay $10,000 for training. It stunk that he had to do that, but if he didn't he probably would not be at CAL now. Jan |

| I told him that I had heard Sky West had a good upgrade time, but I think he's pretty gun shy right now. I know he's been working on some applications, though, so maybe I'll have to slip one into his stack. |

My apologies...I haven't asked DH what the current upgrade time is, but I can tell you that if you are looking for something "quick" than Air Wisconsin wouldn't be your best choice. They are calling up 10 CA this month in DCA so positions are moving around- definately not at a stand still, but Air Wisconsin is not your Mesa or SkyWest. Pilots actually enjoy working for Air Wisconsin and tend to stay a little longer than the average pilot at the above mentioned. They aren't typically quick to move on to another carrier. It is interesting to see the hiring trends right now. Because DH is currently in the management side of things he meets every new hire that comes to Air Wisconsin. It is amazing how many pilots are making lateral moves. His most recent systems class had several "Mesa" pilots. I thought that was rather interesting. | |

| What does he do? There is a guy that I used to know at ACA/Independence that is now at Air Wisconsin. I saw him last June at a friends wedding and I want to say that he is in an insturctor now for Air Wisconsin but I'm not 100% sure. We only talked for a little bit to see how each other had been doing in the nearly 3 years we had seen each other. I'm gotta try and remember his first name....I think it started with a B. ![]()

| DH is working in the flight training department at the CLT US Airways training facility. He has held a couple of positions since accepting a management position almost 1 1/2 years ago, but currently he is teaching the 2 week System Training. Also, every other month or so he travels for Recurrent Training. But, I pretty much have him home just about every evening. I know this won't last forever so I 'm taking advantage of it now while I can. What a concept right??, having DH home when raising a family! Last edited by christykay; 05-02-2007 at 03:13 PM. |
