Kim,

My husband said he would have gotten himself to a store and bought one of those cheap $50 refrigerators if he didn't have one in training. He wouldn't have known what to do without it. Then he could have always sold it to someone in the next incoming class. Just a suggestion that may pay off.

Don't use the coffeepots in hotels! People have been known to use them to wash their undies and pantyhose in! At least that's what I've been told!

it's easy enough to get a small fridge and a hot pot. neither are too expensive and it would give a bit more flexibility too!

i've never heard about the undie/pantyhose thing....but it wouldn't much surprise me knowing how those rooms are "cleaned".

ewwwww...just the thought of it makes me cringe...i tell myself all the time i am NEVER going to stay in a hotel again, i've watched too many shows that reflect how "clean" these rooms can be...ewww...
aside from the coffeepots...carepackages, they have those packed dried soups that i lived off of...oatmeal...things like pudding...i could live off of bread and peanut butter...granola bars...and a staple for me is sunflower seeds...greg is a hard believer in flashcards, so PLENTY of those and plenty of un-chewed pens!! goodluck!

Hot pots rule!!! I had one in college, it was amazing. The other thing we had was a snackster...it was a small thing that made grilled sandwiches, something like that or a small george forman that you can toast sandwiches, etc, on for warm food every so often.

I had one of those as well, it was great! I kinda wish I still had it.

Im glad this post went up. Of all the times Brian has been in training / recurrent training I have never thought about sending him anything! I figured eating out on his per diem was enough! Well, He'd off to Miami in a couple of weeks for re current and though he might only be there a week I'm going to send him something. Great idea, thanks!
