| Hi Jackie, Jason remembered Jarrods name but they didn't really know each other. There is also another Spartin grad in training right now. His name is Elvis (I don't know his last name but with a frist like that you probably don't need it). He does remember Jarrod. |

| My DH is also at skywest...he has been there for almost 2 years. We have been happy with the health insurance we get through Skywest. We just had a second baby and in all, they cover a lot more than the health insurance DH had at his last airline. Overall, we will be paying a lot less out of pocket.

| Yeah, thats Milwaukee. My DH was toying with the idea of going there so he could get out of Chicago. But he such a great deal on a crash pad in ORD that its not worth leaving. We are wondering what the lines are like in MKE.

| my dh is at skywest too. I think they have pretty good benefits. We currently get our healthcare through United here in COS, though it was different when we were in SLC. I like United because they covered things that were important to me (chiro care and I had a homebirth) and are more flexible about out of network. I just didn't find that with the other provider here in COS. the flight benefits are fantastic and we use them all the time. as a pilot you get access to both the Delta and United side of things. also Skywest has agreements with I swear every other airline on the planet and we've managed to get to Egypt, so far that has been our most exotic. we have also flown on ANA as well. I know not everyone uses them, but we sure do. you also get 24 segments, which we also use all of. we really like Skywest. Last edited by CanDancetoo; 04-08-2007 at 03:10 PM. |

Wow! A homebirth! I would LOVE to hear your story and reason for doing so. I had a fantastic hospital non-medicated birth with DS and am interested in homebirth. However, I've had bleeding issues both with DS's birth and a miscarriage I had in Nov, plus DS was "retracting" once the cord was cut. He was basically breathing backwards -drawing his diaphram up instead of dropping it down to draw in breath. Apparently its not uncommon and he was fine after being under O2 for awhile, but those things in combination make me think twice. My OB was so happy to do a non-med birth he could hardly stand it! He's known for a very natural approach and a lot of people go to him for that reason, but it had been over a year! I think if I did do homebirth it would be unattended, I assume you had a midwife as you mentioned it in reference to insurance. Tell me more, tell me more!!! LOL Jackie | |

| Yup, nobody but DH and me. I guess I feel that way because if I felt medical, or professional assistance was necessary, I'd have the baby in the hospital. After my delivery of Jason and even my experience of miscarrying at home, I have such incredible confidence in my body. It is SO amazing. Its funny, when I got preg the second time I started worrying immediately about the delivery, even though my first was so awesome. The miscarriage has completely restored my faith in myself. I frequently get on ivillage's parenting forums and there is one devoted to unassisted births as well as a homebirth one. Those women are such an inspiration. http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-ppunassisted http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-pphomebirth Now with all that said, if my OB would come to my house, I'd have him there. (I don't think license wise he can) He's not at all your average doc and I already have such an amazing relationship with him. This is the man who was almost in tears for me because there had to be so many interventions with DS after his birth. He kept saying, "Its just not fair, you did everything right and look. Your baby's under oxygen, I'm sewing you up (just couldn't get minor tears to stop bleeding), it JUST NOT RIGHT!" He was much more upset than I was. The other thing that gets me thinking about all this is that I didn't really feel the majority of my early labor and my actual labor went pretty quicky. Fairly often, second deliveries are faster and sometimes easier than the first. There is always a chance that I just wouldn't make it to the hospital. Jackie |
