9 months isn't too bad.. you'll get used to the crappy schedules (just like norm eh?!) and then it'll be over with and he'll start moving from bad lines of time to good lines of time. in other words; it'll go quick!

It really does go quick. I know it seems like a long time, but this time last year we were so stressed that we weren't going to make it through...teacher's salary in a small TX town isn't the best. But now were through the worst and we can't believe how worried we were, it really wasn't too bad. I think the thing that kept our minds off of it was DH getting to go to some really exciting places. I lived vicariously through him, but with digital cameras and video, it was like I was there...well almost! His first trip was to Hawaii and they had web cams all over the island he was on. My daughters and students at school really got a kick out of that because I was able to put him up on my TV. My girls kept telling everyone daddy was on TV in Hawaii! It's fun! I told Amanda we need to plan a trip to Ireland and meet up in a cool bar my DH went to on one of his first trips overseas!

That is so true! I don't know how we did it since I am a SAHM, but we got alot of help from my parents. It did seem like the first year flew by so fast.
That is so cool about the webcam, how neat!

St. Patty's day is just around the corner!!! it's a ton of fun over there on St. Patty's day, but you have to get there the day before or you miss the big parade in Dublin.

Well- I went in to NY today for an interview and to do a little shopping. I forgot how great NYC is! So much going on! I was supposed to go back to PA earlier today but it started snowing and I decided to hang out a little more with my sis.

I think I am going to try to find a job in NJ or NY now. I might transfer with my company and then start interviewing once I'm back. It's pretty exciting! The train only took 30 minutes to get to NY; I miss the ease of taking a train!

Yes, but NYC doesn't have the cracked bell or King Tut (talk about ancient history!). LOL!

I'm headed to New York in 2 weeks for the first time in my life. I'm jealous of you guys getting to travel like this all the time.
