| Jetgirls Member | Anyone got any inside word from what these job fairs are like??? It's seems ridiculous to me to make pilots jump through all these hoops! DH showed me a picture from one of them. Pilots standing in this hour long line just to drop off a resume' and shake a hand???!!! Makes me so angry! Anyway, DH needs me so I'd better close. Anyway, any info. would be helpful so I'll understand this silliness.

| I've been to an aviation job fair, and it was NOT a bad experience. If you're unemployed, use EVERY resource available to find a job, I would think a job fair would be a resource that could prove to be beneficial! There may be a token fee to get in the door, and if there's enough quality employers present, it's worth it. He should be able to find out online or with a phone call who (what compaines) will be recruiting there. I would base whether or not to go on who's going to be there. It's a good opportunity to get out there and get some resumes handed out. Even if he's already applied, hand the recruiter another resume and let them know he's interested. Sometimes a 'personal' contact like that is what it takes to get the interview. |
