Express Emergency Landing

A COEX airplane is attempting an emergency landing at IAH with 2 blown tires. They just said they are going to circle for another hour to burn off more fuel.

DH went through a few training cycles with the CA.

Does anyone know who the CA and FO are? My DH is at IAH right now. I have talked with him, and he is just watching the entire thing unfold. Crazy~

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad that everyone is alright! I bet those pilots are really proud of themselves right now... as they should be.

I was actually in IAH when this was happening getting ready to leave on a flight to CVG. It all looked like it went well--the entire event didn't even slow anything down in Houston! Thankfully the weather was fine. Still don't really know what caused the tires to blow though. anyone else know?

My BF knows the CA...jumpseated on the guys flight the day before...haven't heard what caused the mishap though...anyone else hear anything?

Haven't heard anything yet.

Funny thing about the CA. My DH did recurrent with him last year (or the year before...who knows). The CA's name is Shannon and when DH told me he was rooming with Shannon for recurrent....I was horrified! Then he laughed and told me Shannon was a guy
