| Everyone have a drink! 1) What company koolaid (rumors) are spreading around your SO's company right now? 2) Have any of the the rumors come to fruitation in the past year or so? 3) Are there rumors have outlived most of the pilot's careers? Example: 1) My DHs previous company has been considering to buy Saabs, so the rumor goes. 2) I have "heard" that the owners have tested Saabs in the past. 3) I also know this rumor has been passed around for almost 10 years. Outliving the average pilot's carreer at that company. Have a Happy Saturday! |

| Koolaid... Lots of it going around here at ASA. All I can see right now is Jerry Atkin from Skywest is making the rounds in ATL and SLC talking with the pilots about the dog and pony show going on here in the GO of ATL. So far, not so good with the contract...why??? Because the pilots here make too much money, just like all the other pilots out there. The only difference? These guys are already making NOTHING to begin with!!! Attrition rates are off the curve and first year FOs are quitting because they can't survive on 19K for the first year. I hate that all of the airline managers these days are lining their pockets with profits, but taking it away from the pilots, flight attendants and mechanics. I know that each pilot group has to look out for themselves, but the insanity has to stop somewhere. The Northwest pilots have TA'd the concessions. Delta pilots are taking a strike vote right now. I'm waiting for the ASA guys and gals to do the same thing. It may come quite soon. I work full-time, and I have a toddler, because my husband gets paid squat for flying 50 some pax around who paid 50 bucks for a ticket. That's not his fault, and he shouldn't have to pay the price for it because airlines won't raise ticket prices. I could go on and on, but I won't. I hope his pilot union DOES strike...we can get by on my salary; I won't like it very much, but if it proves a point that at least one pilot group WON'T BEND OVER ANY MORE, so be it. I just wish some other airline pilot association would lead the way. It's about time. Stacey
