We're so excited!! Eric's been flying the Saab for 2 years and now he's finally going to fly a jet!!! We're so excited! He starts October 6th. He'll be gone for a month, but we've done it before - we'll be o.k. I think he's missing Emily already (and he's home right now LOL!). He's going to FO training, but if everything goes our way at arbitration, he might be going to Captain's school in Dec. or Jan. (let's pray). I'm so happy for him I just had to share. Tanya ![]()

Hi Kristie- He'll be flying the Embraer 170 jet for Shuttle America. I offered to come out to see him with Emily, but we'll see. We have a agreement that during training, he calls me when he has time. I try not to bother him, cause he needs to focus and study. I will send him a care package though. Of course, now with this hurricane headed for Houston, fuel prices will soar along with the others and Shuttle will probably not take possesion of the jets (just my pessimistic mind at work LOL!) cause fuel costs will be so high. Let's hope for the best. Tanya

My husband currently is based out of Washington/Dulles, but that will change once he gets into the jet. He commutes out of DTW though. Luckily, since he is able to stay at Shuttle America (and not get transferred to Chatauqua or Republic) he'll probably still only have a one-leg commute no matter where he's based.
