| Hey amanda, congrats to Nick!! I hope he gets what is best for the pair of you. You two are soooo cute together. It's been a while ( since the zoo, that we saw each other in Phoenix ) This is the first time I have posted on this website. I am very new to this whole thing. bye |

We are very happy but he hasn't gotten the job yet. In fact I told him I wrote about his interview on the website and he wasn't exactly thrilled (he wasn't mad or anything, he just didn't want to 'jinx' himself). Amanda

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | Robin- Please don't take your anger/frustration out on me or Nick. Nick HAS paid his dues. I don't have enough time to write all of the crap he has put up with, nor should I have to. Plus I think all of us can brag about our guy's education, intelligence, flight skill, etc. I have learned that this industry is tough. My question to you is.... is Brendan only waiting for CAL or is he applying at other airlines? Wouldn't it make sense for him to apply to other airlines as well? Sorry- I don't know all of the details with his PIC, etc. We think the main reason he got called fairly quickly is his military background. He was an Army Captain and Ranger. He has certainly paid his dues in that respect as well. Robin- on this site I think we are all very supportive of one another. I wish the best for Brendan and hope he does get the call too. Amanda |

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | I didn't mean to get you more upset. You don't have to delete any posts. It is good for some newer pilot wives/girlfriends to learn that this industry is extremely challenging and not always fair. Finances are a struggle and it isn't a glamorous lifestyle in the beginning (not even sure about whether it's glamorous after they "make it"!). When Nick flew the Beech1900 he had a crashpad and slept on the floor. We only see each other 2-3 days a month since he is in VA and I am in AZ. I really do hope things get better for you. Amanda |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Congratulations to Nick! It's just the luck of it at the moment. I know people with 10,000 hours + who have not recieved the call. I also know people who interviewed with numerous inside recommendations who were denied the offer. |

I don't blame you for being angry with me. I deserve it. I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you to take it the way that you did, but after reading the posts I wrote, I know how they sound. Brendan flew the Beech1900 also! I remember his first years as a FO flying the Beech making less then 19K a year....those were some fun times. He was based in Houston, commuting to NH/FL. How we ever afforded anything is beyond me ![]()

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | Robyn- First, sorry I spelled your name wrong (before writing the posts I got off the phone w/ my friend Robin!) Second, I'm not angry. Really, I'm not! I know you have a lot going on besides Brendan's career stuff. Baby stuff is extremely stressful. Heck I'm 36 and not married and no baby- not even sure what will happen in that dept! When I met Nick he was a CFI and I believe his salary was $14k or something like that. He slept on an air mattress and had crates for furniture. He was so embarrassed. Jeesh, what these guys go through... |

I just lost it earlier. Please know I am happy for you guys. Nick deserves getting out of Mesa. I remember the sleeping on the floor thing! We did that in college when DH was instructing Fun times. He got lucky and only had to instruct for 6 months after graduating before getting hired at Continental Express. We thought it was transitional...until 9/11.I'll let you enjoy this now. I've taken up too much of your time on your own News Post. Please know I am sorry. I feel like an ass. I really do.
