IOE has begun!

Dh is officially an FO with Comair! He started his first day of IOE today! He is in YUL tonight and sounded very tired on our quick phone call since it costs more to call stupid Canada! He is unfortunatly getting a cold right now, but he is dealing with it. It figures, he hasn't been sick in like 2 years and he decided to get sick NOW. I'm just so thrilled we are finally at this point. I just hope he doesn't get furloughed soon, but even so, its the nature of the beast, right?

When I joined this site about a year and a half ago we were just moving so he could get his ratings and about 6 months after that this felt like a never ending thing. Now its all paying off and he is finally following his dream of being an airline pilot. I don't think it really hit him until yesterday when I got about 10 text messages throughout the day exclaiming "omg I'm an airline pilot!". I feel like this is almost my career! Not that I am living through him, but that I feel like we have both worked hard to get to this point. I know that when I finally figure out what my dream is, he will do whatever he has to to help me get there.

And I couldn't have done it without my Jetgirls friends!! Thanks!!

I remember that excitement Nick had with his first "real" airline job. He was so excited. He still loves flying, just not all the BS that comes along with it!

My hubby was so thrilled as well to start with the airline

AWESOME Emily!! Congratulations to you and he both!

It was just about this time last year (August) that fiance was up in YUL also training at Bombardier, on the crj-900. If you get a chance you should head up there to visit him on your new travel bennies!!

I want to go visit him up there! He said its weird because they all speak French haha. I told him to talk to them in Spanish to throw them off.

I need to get my passport so I can go up there now!
