Tiny first step one completed...

This seems really insignificant compared to you girls, but we had some happy times on the weekend and thought I would share anyway...

BF passed his first check to have his first solo flight... unfortunately couldn't actually do the solo as the wind got too crazy in the afternoon, but he's cleared for one!

He should have his private license in just over a month, and then it's on to bigger and better things I suppose!

Other unofficial good news is that he's pretty much been guaranteed a job in two to three years time when he is all licensed up flying a BT-67 Basler... which is great... the not-so-great thing for me at least is that the job is flying researchers to and around ANTARCTICA for three to four weeks at a time... the only plus to that is that there won't be many girls down there
