Default New Job!

I mention in another thread that I had an interview and I got the job, so I start tomorrow. I am going to be a scheduling center associate for ATP headquarters, so I figured an aviation announcement was necessary.

I basically have the job in the "pit" that all the instructors did while they waited to get a position at the location they were waiting for. They changed how they do that now, so they were hiring people off the street for it. I thought it would be good since I already know a lot from dh going through the program.

That sounds neat!! so what exactly are you doing then - scheduling instructors with students or what?

Right now they have me answering the phones and answering questions about the career and private programs, and the other guys do the add-on questions. I like it so far, but they are kind of babying me, they won't teach me anything about the add-ons and there is other stuff they don't want me to do yet. Its not difficult stuff, they usually tell me not to do it after I already did it, and I did it just fine. I guess I should be glad they are not making me do everything yet!

I'm learning more about aviation already, though. Dh never teaches me anything, I ask him a question about something technical and his response "its in my private pilot book" I guess I am not a paying customer so he doesn't want to teach me, lol. Really I think he just does it all day and doesn't want to come home and do it more.
