I kind of agree. Most of the pilots who are pushing it have about a dozen ex wives to support. Dh figures 22 years with a "major" is plenty (plus a military retirement) and then he'd like to fly in a ministry like Mission Aviation Fellowship.

My main concern is why is there any age limit? 60 or 65 does not determine whether someone is fit to fly. Even the international flying age of 65 sounds random.

Overall I am neutral on the issue.

It would be nice for dh to have better schedules. Our dd is 17 and ds is 10. They need their father NOW and could care less about an extra million when he is a crusty, old dude.

So I guess we are along for the ride! Some folks really won the lottery and some barely missed it. I guess there aren't going to be any waivers for those who just turned 60.
