Default Finally!

My husband made the choice eight years ago to leave his job with a large package delivery company and become a pilot. Since this time he slowly took courses to complete his BS degree while attending flight school full time, work, and raise a family.

I am pleased to announce that after all of these years my DH has FINALLY completed his degree. He has received a BS degree with a Minor and we will all be attending his graduation ceremony this December. I am so incredibly proud of him and all that he has accomplished. It is also great that our children have been a witness to his success and will see him graduate. For them to see that hard work does eventually pay off and to follow those dreams. What a life lesson!

I can totally relate to this. My DH took over 7 years to finish flight school through his bachelors at the ripe old age of 30+. Flying for him has always been a goal, but was side-tracked by the military and then just making it all happen.

So, I KNOW how momentous this is to all of you. Congrats to all of you for getting through!

Heck, my husband dropped out of college at 3.5 years-- after another semester passed from when Nixon ended the draft on July 1, 1973! He never went back.

So kudos to your hubby!

Congratulations! That's really a great accomplishment.

My dad got his degree at 43 years old, and I've never been prouder of anyone. He did all the associate work while he was in the Army still, from about a million different Jr. colleges depending on where he was stationed, and then he worked a night job dispatching for the police/fire dept and went to school all day to finish his Bachelors.

It's a hard way to do school, but it so much sweeter when it's finished. His hard work will be a great example to your kids...I can attest to that.

Yeah! I can still remember my mom graduation while my brother and I were still in elementary school. We all went to her graduation.

Thanks for the great comments!
I almost didn't post this, but I am just so thrilled that he has completed. (Hence the title- FINALLY!) It has been one crazy journey for this household!
