so far it hasn't been too bad. he's been able to come see me every couple of weeks, which is super good! He just emailed me his schedule for FTD's and Sims, and I've got my fingers crossed he'll be able to visit me one last time next weekend (Aug 4-6) before he takes his checkride on the 21st. he's tenatively got IOE scheduled for Aug 24th, but talking with Kim and others at XJet, we're expecting a couple of weeks at least between his checkride and IOE. He'll be able to move out here though in that time so yay for that

Great news! Good luck to John with the next step. I hope you guys get the base that he wants (where does he hope to be based?).

he's hoping for LAX because they do the flying for delta connection and they have a couple of long SLC overnights
