| Right on time! DH just completed his first year recurrent training this past week in Miami and they told him he did great! Not only does that now include a pay raise and being paid to deadhead and commute but they have confirmed that in June he'll be off to upgrade training for captain!!! (We actually knew about a month ago but I wanted to make sure it was confirmed a few times before I jinx him!) I am so proud of him! Here's what our last 2.5 years were like with his job: He flew a metro (single crew) from CIncincatti to Ottawa for Ameriflight. Then 2 years ago he was upgraded to captain of a Brazilia (2 person crew) for Ameriflight, which meant us moving to TX. We hated TX so he started looking elsewhere and got hired on with ExpressNet as an FO of a 747. (And quit Ameriflight) Just weeks into training ExpressNet fired everyone. A few other interviews later and about 4 months of unemployment he was hired on as FO of a 747 at Southern Air. One year later (which is now) CAPTAIN UPGRADE on a 747! Can you tell Im excited? It couldnt have come at a better time since I just quit my job to have our second baby next month. ![]() |
