I was wondering if anyone knew how long it would take to get the results from this? My dr said Monday but I was wondering if that was the normal turn around time or not?

Not sure about that specific blood test, but when my son gets his blood drawn on a Thursday, they typically wouldn't call me until Monday with the results (which is basically kidney function things).

if you got it drawn on Thursday, probably Monday, or even Tuesday because of the holiday. I know all of our labs that we send things out to are closed today (Friday) as well as the weekend. So, if it was something that had to be sent out it'd probably be sent Thursday but not run til Monday (results on Tues) If it's an internal lab where they will run the results at the doc's office (or hospital) then you'll probably get it Monday (run the test thurs, closed fri/sat/sun). ETA - that's generic for most blood draws that are done, I don't know anything specifically about the CA-125 test and what it entails... |

It will be a little longer d/t the holiday and not sure the normal turn around time on a C-125. May be up to a week. Sometimes the lab holds special tests like this one until they can "run a batch". If you haven't heard by Wed. call your dr. office and ask them the usual turn around

Thanks Dana, dr said Monday because they want to do surgery later in the week, I was just wondering if he was telling me Monday to make me feel better or if it actually could be done by then! Thanks!

Yeah I had surgery on Monday because my ovary had swelled up to the size of a grapefruit then wrapped itself around my large intestine 4 times....but at least no cancer So now I'm just recovering and chilling out, they used the same DaVinci machine to do this surgery as they did when I had my hsyterectomy!
