Most of the time when you are on birth control it causes your cervical mucus to be thicker thus making it even harder for those little sperm to swim up stream....not thinner Your doc checked you for Chlamydia , did they check you for the other std's? Trichomonas ( usually a greenish discharge that itches), BV (bacterial vaganosis, not an std- normal overgrowth of you normal vaginal flora) yeast (thick clumpy white discharge that itches sometimes)? She did all the blood work to check for the other diseases, HIV, Hepatitis, syphilis. Glad to hear that all your tests were normal. Likely once your other symptoms of being ill are better, hopefully the other will fall into line also. I suppose it could be the patch but I have not heard of that side effect.... Keep us posted. | I havent been taking any cold medication in about a month. Its a thicker egg white looking discharge...there is no itching or burning. thank god!!! Dana, My doc did all those tests...I still haven't got those blood tests back. I am calling her first thing Monday. I did a little research on Ortho Evra and it can cause a vaginal discharge. Thanks for all the help I will keep you posted! |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | i'm on ortho evra as well, and i have some discharge throughout the month - sometimes are thicker or more prevelant than others. It wouldn't be because you're ovulating though - birth control (patch or pills) surpresses ovulation completely (don't release an egg) i wouldn't worry about it ![]() |

| Talked to the doc this morning all my tests were negative! ![]() So I asked the nurse if she could just ask if it has to do with the Ortho. Where do you wear your patch? some places I wear it it would come off and other places it just itches like crazy...lol |
