I feel like a bag lady, not to mention I bit into a pretzel and broke my molar in 1/2. Im just venting, I feel like crap and am feeling sorry for myself. I'm sorry that your feeling the ickies!!! that sucks!! did you get a flu shot this year? either way, it might not have worked since the new mutated strain is going around...

Anyways, figured since it was icky related, i'd put it in Dana's direction so she can give you (and everyone else) a quick reminder on how to keep it from spreading to the rest of the family and so forth.

How could a pretzel break a molar? that's interesting unless it was a really hard pretzel?

I hope you feel better!!

ugh.. I hate the flu. Times like this is when it really sucks to have your significant other on the road. Is it the pukey diarrheal kind or the head flu?

Poor you! I have a sore throat/low grade fever and have been pushing through work anyway. I plan on using some sick days to take a mini-vacation for my birthday in March, so I can't actually use them on being sick, lol.

OMG!! I am working 50-60 hr work weeks because of the flu season. It is Awful!! Like None I have seen in recent years.

They reported last week that they missed the flu strain this year. Sooooo if you got the flu shot you are likely not covered for the strain going around this year. It is nasty. Body Aches, temp, 101-103 sore throat, cough. Sx's last 3-5 days. It can go into pneumonia especially if you are older.

We are really watching the elderly. I have ran out of IV bags at work!

Fluids, (water), tylenol, motrin, REST!!!! PLEASE STAY AT HOME. your co workers don't want it!!!!

I am sorry you are ill.
I hope you have a speedy recovery!

That's so rude!!!
I wonder how many of your co-workers are sick.

I always hated when people came into work sick --- it was always a matter of time until it ran rampant through the office. Then everyone else had to use their sick time and the inital "sickee" didn't.

If your sick, stay home.

(This is a sore spot for me -- can you tell!!!)

If it makes you feel better, czech, I'm home today. Fever went up...it was one thing to go in with a 99.1, but quite another to go in when it went up above 100. Blech...

A ton of my kids (I don't see my coworkers often, lol) are sick; I'm sure that's where I got this. Have you seriously never been to work feeling under the weather? Maybe I just feel poorly more often than most, but if I stayed home every time I had a sniffle or sore throat my kids would fail English class and I would be fired.

Hubby has it. HAD to go see the doctor today. Fever of 103 for 2 days staight and will not break, cough, sore throat, can barely lift his head up, and is having breathing issues.
Doctor told him that if he did not go into the office today and got some meds it could have turned into pneumonia cause he has a ton of gunk in his chest.
He was supposed to start a trip today, had to call off, chief pilot immediately called back, and what did the chief pilot say? Are you sure you can't work your trip? Send me a note from the doctor, get better.
Poor hubby can't even get off the couch or bed. His chills are so bad. What really stinks is that I am NOW getting it! UGHHH Who's gonna take care of me when I get it?

Not sure who this was directed to, but I will respond anyway. I am not talking about a sniffle or basic sore throat. I am talking about people who are coughing their head off, running a fever, body aches, and chills. STAY HOME!
I can't begin to tell you the number of people who are ticked off because some co-worker was selfish enough to come to work with a fever and shed their virus. Now the whole office has it. Every day, I see 1-2 people with pneumonia..
