| I agree with just letting him sleep where he wants just so he's safe. When my 11-yr-old son was younger, I'm thinking about 5 at the time, he went through a stage of not wanting to sleep in his bed. But he loved sleeping in a tent. So, you know what we did? We put the mattress in the tent in his room and he slept in there for a long time. I can't remember exactly how long, but at least a year. Wanda |

| Jetgirls Member | Thanks everyone! I didn't think there was a problem with sleeping on the floor, but wanted to make sure I didn't miss an important parenting memo that everyone else got. I think sometimes DH has trouble remembering that he doesn't have to micromanage everything at home like he does in a cockpit, KWIM? He's got a body pillow and two bed pillows down there plus a comforter, two crib sized blankets and numerous suffed animals and cars, so I know he's well padded. And judging from the "pillow perm" he has in the morning, he certainly moves around at night. Kim

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | when my sis and I were younger, we had haydays with making 'castles' and sleeping on the floor, some of our parental figures would be fine with us sleeping on the floor only because they said it was a phase, but then there was this one family that really thought we'd ruin our backs forever and be hunchback and never let us make our castles...they totally killed the fun for us...

I think he's a brave little bugger for sleeping so well in such a confined space! ![]() | |

| Jetgirls Member | There's about a 3 foot space between the bed and the wall and the twin bed is about 2 feet up off the floor. There is a good amount of space for him. Kim
