| Jetgirls Member | Ok...for almost 2 weeks I have been sick. The symptoms are a headache, runny nose, a cough, and lots of mucus. I have been taking mucinex dm but its not working! Dana is there something else I can take? I know I should probably go to the doctor but I dont have health insurance right now. I am waiting for it to come through, takes forever!

| My son, daugther and myself had that last weekend. I actually had been fighting it for about 2 weeks too! I'm not sure what Dana will say (she the professional) but we all ended up at the Doctors office and on antibiotics this past week. (I've finished my meds, but I still have tons of drainage and the cough comes back at night!) Hopefully you'll get better or you're insurance will kick in FAST!!! Hope you feel better. Jen |

| YES, it does!! I understand the "no insurance" thing! Mucinex DM is good, continue but add over the counter Claritin D. It is not my first choice but everything else is prescription. YOu could also do 3 days of Afrin 1 spray each nostril two times per day. Don't do over 3 days of the spray as you will get rebound nasal congestion and addiction to the med. (it is a GREAT spray and will help) Fever/ chills/ facial pain.... you need to see a provider ![]() Quote:

| Jen, likely what you all have is a good old fashion cold. ABX won't help that... you may also benifit from Claritin or the like. Speedy recovery Quote:
