| Ever since DH started his career in commercial aviation (about a year and a half ago) I have been struggling off and on. Much of the time I am insecure, feel alone, unmotivated and down, even when I am doing something that I typically enjoy. Basically, I just don't feel like myself, I seem to have lost me somewhere in this roller coaster life style. I am overwhelmed and barely coping with the everyday stresses of being a FT working mother of twins AND a pilot's wife. Usually, I can snap myself out of it after a few days, but to be quite honest - I'm tired of dealing with these feelings on my own and I don't feel like I'm being very productive at it since they keep coming back. So, I am wondering if I need to talk to a professional and if so, that opens up a plethora of questions..... What is the best way to make an appointment - go thru my primary dr or direct? Do I look for a psychologist or a psychiatrist? What do I expect from the inital visits? THANKS! |
