And yes the body is amazing isn't it. I have such a different perspective on my body since having the kids. I'm much more respectful of it in the sense that it has such purpose and all the "scars" of motherhood -stretchmarks, sagging breasts, varicose veins, a few extra pounds, flabby tummy- are simply reminders of that purpose not anything to be ashamed of. | I always dreaded getting called down to the maternity unit for psych assessments when I was breastfeeding. The letdowns occured with every hungry baby scream! One time I got stuck down there so long I just used one of their portable breastpumps and pumped down there in the nurses station while doing my paperwork and fielding calls for my client!!! The nurses got quite a kick out of that one! Jackie
