If you have a fever make sure it is not Strep. Otherwise..... there isn't a whole lot you can do... fluids, fluids, fluids and REST. Something you probable don't get much of

I hope you feel better soon. If it persists see your doc

Ughh, I've had this "thing" the past few days. Trying to figure out if it is a cold or allergy. I've been doing Sudafed, and it has helped with the stuffiness, along with nasal spray and Tylenol for the aches.

Thanks for all the advice...you'd think by now, I would be tough enough to deal with it, but nope, I am just a big baby when it comes to getting the flu or especially a cold when I am pregnant. My head is stuffed up, and it always makes me feel liek I can't think straight. I had my family doctor prescribe something for me once, and then my ob flipped out saying that she couldn't believe it and called his office to let him know that you don't give pregnant patients that...I felt so bad for my family doctor.

Thanks again...my hubby is home, so I am at least trying to catch up on sleep, but it doesn't help waking up congested all night...

Brenda, forgive me as I can't keep up with all you prego's.... If you are pregnant...have you talked with your doc about the sudafed and nasal spray?
We usually don't prescibe them to pg women. If you OB doc did then that is another story.... just checking

(saline nasal spray is ok)

Have you tried Cold-EEze zinc lozenges? I take those when I feel a cold coming on and when have one, and I believe they help. It says on the box to check with your Dr. if pregnant, and I took some while pregnant. Feel better!

Have you tried lemon balm tea? We had never heard of it until we went to a lecture at the flower show in March. It's a miracle! But it has been for thousands of years!

We're gonna grow it ourselves next spring--in a container, because I hear that, like mint, it would take over your garden if left to roam free!
