Default Hoping it's nothing

About three or four weeks ago I noticed my pee had a strong smell to it (I know, it's gross, I'm sorry). I looked it up on google and read that it could just be that I don't drink enough water, so I started drinking more, but it still hasn't gone away.

I plan to make an appointment to get it checked out, but are there some normal things it could probably be?

Have you recently changed your diet? Have you added new or different foods to your diet?

Some foods will actually alter your urine. I know that some cereals and some fruits and vegetables, especially asparagus will change the "smell' of your urine.

Good Luck.

I've had that happen a few times. It always went away eventually. It worried me too for a while, then it was gone so I let it go. I've actually had it smell a little like smoke, on occassion. Not sure what's up with that, but that goes away too...

If your urine is darker/amber/more concentrated then likely you need to just drink more water. If it smells, is cloudy it is likely a urinary track infection. Do you have other symptoms of a UTI.... gotta go, gotta go then just dribble, dribble?? Any pain when you pee?

Vitamin B6, UTI's, asparagus, and diabetes can cause your urine to smell strange. If it doesn't improve, get it looked at.

I've noticed it occasionally - mine usually has a strange smell, somewhat like cheerios. (no i wasn't eating the cereal!) but it seems to go away on its own, but i dunno what caused it.

so this post was entirely unhelpful, but you're not the only one out there!

I get that when I eat asparagus. Have you had any lately?
