) So I heard I should take bc just so I don't grow one on the other one, some people think that it prohibits cyst growth or something. I suppose I'll go back to the doc once we get insurance again and see what I should do. Is it true that one will take over and do the work of both? Thats what the docs tell me, but I don't know if I believe it. hmm...

| Admin/Owner ![]() | that's what i've heard...one will take over for the one that's not working correctly..like double timing it! haha have you tried ortho cyclen? i tried ortho tri years and years ago and it made me a madwoman (too much estrogen or something).. ortho cyclen settled it down A LOT! I still have libido problems even being on yasmin now.. figure it's all in my head at this point! haha

I also had to go on bc to try to prevent another one from appearing on the other ovary. I did that for a few years. I haven't been on bc in a while (since Dec. 03) and I worry about it sometimes. I had my doc "check" at my annual appt. last October and she didn't feel any masses on either ovary. And when I got pg with Emily, she did an ultrasound on my very first visit (because of the ovary issue) and she double checked them then (she did a transvaginal ultrasound). So that eased my mind alot. I am having some minor fertility issues right now, and have a appt tomorrow with my PCP but if those labs don't lead to anything i'm going to go back to my OB and have her check things (including my ovaries). Good luck!!! I hope you find something that works.

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | I had irregular cycles when I was on the orthotricyclen lo... I had originally gone on it because of libido issues. I just started using NuvaRing two months ago and I LOVE it! Cycles have been normal, no pill to remember, and have only had minor mood swings, lol. You know, no more than usual. ![]() |
