Blimey - shows what a difference the Atlantic makes. I'm looking to buy a new car - with the smallest diesel engine I can manage! That way the fuel's cheaper, the road tax is minimal and the insurance is cheaper, too. We just can't afford expensive cars! A big engine = lots of fuel, and have you lot SEEN how much it costs over here?

I do the same thing with my '92 Toyota. I also pretend it's the General Lee when I catch a good hill (not good for my car, I quickly learned...).

I'm a car freak, probably more than the hubby. I've collected a few that I love. He enjoys driving mine. When I was sixteen I had an old 64 &1/2 mustang that I rebuilt and that taught me alot about mechanics. I've graduated to cars that now I am unable to work on but love to drive. It is something we both appreciate.

Sara, what kind of cars do you have? I assume high performance? My husband is a car encyclopedia. He adores Top Gear, the British show.
