Default Re: Completely new to this!

Hi and welcome to the site!
I joined here after I was dating Nick in 2002 and knew it would get serious. He was a career changer right before we met and was a CFI/CFII/MEI barely scraping by money wise. He was hired at Mesa in 2003 and then Continental in January 2007. Along the way we dealt with a long distance relationship since it didn't make sense for me to follow him to the many bases he had!

There will be many changes you'll experience with your boyfriend and what I've observed from the last 6 years is that the girlfriends who do the best with pilots are those who are independent and have hobbies, plans, etc outside of the relationship. His flight training will take priority over most things in his life and is time consuming. Excellent communication, trust, and respect is a must in this type of relationship

Please use the "search" feature at the top of the page since many questions you have may have been covered before, and you can just add to those threads.
If you have any questions, just ask!
