Default Re: nonrev code of conduct

[quote=BStory;60283]I thought I would throw my 2 cents in .....

I worked for Delta and ASA for a total of 9 years.....

There was a policy that was put out about a year ago that stated off duty employees flying non rev should NOT have their badges visible. I know DH would introduce himself to the crew flying to thank them for the ride and to let them know they had an able body in the back if anything happened. Other than that our IDs were in our pockets or bags.

Thanks BStory! It was much longer than that--way back in the days of our InfoXchange--remember that?? Sure miss that forum--it was priceless for travel tips.
I found the rule and the wording is something like no employee action [including exhibiting ID badge] should ever be allowed that identifies them as non-rev. If passenger asks, state that you are an employee and politely end the discussion.
But, it was strongly re-iterated not too long ago when they changed the nonrev dress code.
PS--who are you with now?
