So T and I decided to overnight with Lance this weekend. (had a great time!) However, I experienced the worst non rev conduct this weekend. First was out of Boise. it was a cluster when we got to our gate, so we knew it didn't look good. I guess expressjet headed to saltlake got deverted to boise. So of course all of those were being put on our flight to salt lake city. I sat close so I could listen and see if I could pick up what was going on. Wasn't about to stand in line just to ask.

Anyhoo....there was this lady, who cut in front of others in line to get up to the desk, to ask if she was going to get on. right then I knew she was a nonrever, and hello, do you think you are going to get on???? hell no. So she hovers one foot away from the desk the whole time, and asked three more times if it looked good...again WTF. So the flight goes out, and the girl working the desk, knows me...not sure why but she is always running the ticket counter when we fly out, and I think she has a crush on my husband

Again, back to the point...she calls me over and to start rolling me over. Again the lady asks about getting on the flight.. the guy working the counter tell her I will take care of you in a minute. Well now the express jet is fixed and continuing to saltlake, so I ask if I can go on it. My girl goes over to ask, and I start talking to Ms Pushy. She is flying on a buddy pass, has missed the flight the night before, the early morn one, and now this one. But she tells me its going to be ok b/c "that guy said he would take care of me" I try to gently tell her, that she flying for free, and you have to stand back and let the paying ones go ahead of you. but b/c she has missed three flights she thinks that she should get attention, and doesn't understand why they are giving other their boarding passes. I explain that it is on senority, and buddies are at the bottom of the list. "but I have missed three flights, its not fair"

Finally I told her that she needed to be carefull b/c her granddaughter could get written up over her behavior. You don't have any "rights" when you are nonrev'n and that you can't get in the way when the the gate agents are working on re-booking paying pax.

We all ended up on the expressjet which was now wide open.

So on the way home to boise, almost the excat same thing happened. This time it was a parent. (I'm nosey, so I srike up conversations with these people) and Again Three time to ask if she was getting on durning the boarding process. -she didn't get on by the way. (but I did hehehe)

I know that it is gut wrenching to sit there and have to wait to see if you are called up, but my 7 yr old can do it. What is with these people? and can you not see the look of death that the agents flash you on your second time up, that alone would stop me from the third trip up.

it seems like a few bad apples make all of look bad.
