Ah, but now, a lot of other countries are feeling the immediate impact of the US recession.

China is now becoming the biggest oil guzzler--the oil producing countries use that as an excuse to raise prices. While they are exporting more and more, after the Olympics, they will feel the strain of fewer buyers here.

What I was saying that was, while, in the past, US recessions were not felt as much globally, it is now a global economy. It is being felt. I witnessed it firsthand on some overseas visits.
