Default Re: Good advice

i just read recently about a mother that tries to never be the first to let go during a hug.

i have really taken that to heart the last few days (since i read it) and it has made a world of difference with my girls. i feel like, they feel i'm giving them my all. i'm not letting go to rush off and get something else done. i'm there in the moment with them...i don't have somewhere better to be. i know there will be times when i have to let go. but i'm gonna try really hard to incorporate this "rule" into my living.

another mommy i read about said that she was having a very trying day...and she told herself that she was going to prove that she was a good mommy that day. she put on her (invisible) cape and set out to save their little world that day. i think that's a great idea. make yourself (an invisible) cape that you adorn on days when you could really just lock yourself in the bathroom and drink margaritas without thinking twice. and just so you know...my cape is purple with "super-mommy" written in pink (we're all girl around here!)
