For an inexpensive but unique gift, I've made a baby keepsake box by decopaging a box with really cute papers and embellishments. You can put the baby's name on it if you know it, or use the nursery colors. The name and date could also be added later. I put a list inside of all the things that could go in the keepsake box, like hospital id tags, ultrasound pictures, lock of hair, baby bracelets, engraved baby spoon or bronzed baby shoes, letters to baby from grandparents, blessing/christening outfits, pictures of the house and area baby grew up in, things like that, that will be fun to look at over and over.
