Was it a Regional Jet or a mainline flight? The mainline planes have the extra masks on both sides. If it was a RJ booked online, I could see the software not accounting for the infant in arms and the gate agent missing it. I'd be surprised if the FA didn't say something tho'. It might just be one of those insider things we know and others don't like -sit on the wing for the safest seat and right behind the wing for the smoothest ride.
