Yeah, fiance just did some quick math. For a non-growing airline, they usually take on about 10 new hires a month ... that's 120 per year. 1999 was 9 years ago ... so that's 1080 pilots. That's more or less the number United has announced.
Of course, that 10 new hires a month is just an approximation. |
