I did have a driver in MTY (he was a contracted driver, paid by pax)was was telling me "teqnically" I am not allowed to ride unless they have the name of the person on their board. I was like "whatever" So, the next time I went I called before i arrived and asked the front desk if it would be okay. They were fine with it as long as the crew didn't mind.
Sometimes it's just so crammed in the van that there is hardly any room for an extra person.
