I don't know how much you can do about the restraunt, but in my family the kids follow the rules at whoevers house they are at. Example, my brother doesn't tolerate as much noise as I do, and when all of the cousins are his house he tells them this is my house rules so you will act like this while you are here. I have used the same line ( a little more PC) for when kids are at my house and crossing the line while the parents sit by. (we have a little friend that is a door SLAMMER) I guess his mother has learned to tune him out.
