OMG I would have been LIVID if we had been there for a couple years and then put in apps to majors and got turned down. I think that would have really put me over the point of no return. Honestly I'm kind of bugged with dh for not knowing, I feel like I've done a lot more of the info-seeking than I should have to over the years. I don't think there are many industries where spouses have to be THIS involved in the decision making.

We did talk to Stan and we are just waiting to find out if they are hard on the 50 ME. If not, he could get hired right now. If they are, we are really going to be between a rock and a hard place because FIL is adamant that dh take the Scenic job because it's a sure thing, where I feel like he'd be better to turn it down and bust out the other 19 ME hours in a couple of weeks and then apply to Eagle. Since FIL is the one that has funded this entire endeavor, we can't really "upset"/"disagree" with him. But I think it would be a step backwards to go to Scenic to get the ME hours and then have to pay to break the contract to go to a regional from there.
