Triglycerides So, I got my labs back today (regular checkup) and my triglycerides were WAY too high at 267.
Now, i only drink one regular dr. pepper or coke a day... i don't really eat that many sugars that i know of (no chocolates as of late or what not)...
but am curious if carbo's like potatoes and/or rices can cause the tri's to be too high or what else can cause that? can weight alone cause them to be too high?
Cholesterol, nurse said, was fine at 187. she said it should be less than 200. HDL was 75 and LDL was 68..so i guess all is good there...altho i'm a bit concerned about the overall cholestrol rating, nurse said "oh, it's fine", so i guess i have no need to fret on that level.
but the tri's are kinda bothering me cuz i don't know what else i might be doing wrong except that i'm not working out right now cuz i'm studying and that's taking up most if not all of my free time.
OH, also, can a triglyceride level like this lead to diabetes? how would you know or have an idea if you're getting too close to that mark?
Any suggestions? |
