Indeed! In fact I was producing there for my news channel that day, so I watched it all unfold.. in fact I was the first one to be told! This man just came up to me in arrivals (I was with a cameraman) and told me his daughter had given up waiting for her bag after two hours - and of course my news hound ears pricked up!
It was a bad day for BA and BAA, for sure. Terrible for BA's image, and they seem to have accepted it was their fault - not enough training, not enough testing, problems with staff parking and security, etc. Incredible, given how long they had to get the terminal to work! (Years...) |
