Default Re: Packing food for trips

Okay gals, I've come up with the ultimate in loving wifely food packing! DH finally decided to give packing his food a go. I was trying to come up with ideas of stuff that would taste good to him and thought of hot pockets. Well he typically doesnt like pre-pack food so I thought about how I could make them myself.

My first prototype kind of spoiled him. I took refrig biscuits, flatened them out and put scambled eggs, sausage and cheese on one and covered it with the second. I then pinched the two together all the way around and baked until brown. I froze it until he left and them he warmed it up in the crew room. He said it was REALLY yummy. Unfortunately, it was terrible for him so I set out to come out with a similiar bread. I've tried refrig breadsticks, and the pizza dough mixes you can buy near the pasta. DH hubby wasn't impressed with the breadsticks -again he doesn't like the preservative taste, and thought the pizza dough was okay. Then the other nite while we were out for pizza at our fav resturant, I had a stroke of genius! I asked the manager if he would sell me raw pizza dough and he said yes! It is working great!

Dh mostly wants bfast sandwiches but pretty much anything could go inside. Theyare fast and simple to make too. DH says people stand over him and salivate! Just thought I'd share....
