when my sis and I were younger, we had haydays with making 'castles' and sleeping on the floor, some of our parental figures would be fine with us sleeping on the floor only because they said it was a phase, but then there was this one family that really thought we'd ruin our backs forever and be hunchback and never let us make our castles...they totally killed the fun for us...
