Recently in New Orleans I had the chance to try some Delaware Punch. I had never heard of it, but the guy who sold it to me said that it had been around forever (he even remembered his mom bringing it as a beach drink when he was a kid.) It was pretty good.
I love special regional things like this. They always make me feel like I have traveled and experianced some of the local culture. Does your area have some local secrets? (Of course that might be hard to answer if you don't realize they are not sold everywhere. . .)
