Something new and fun to try.. might be used more than the flashchat option we have now
here are most of the commands that you would want to use (the others are really probably more admin related):
/me your_text : famous command IRC.
/team your text : message which only specific usergroups can see.
/annonce your_text : Replace the current announcement by a new announcement (you can add an annoucement via Chatbox Options).
/ignore :
/ignore user user_name : ignore shouts from an user by entering its user name. You can unignore shouts from that user later by using the /deignore command.
/ignore uid user_id : ignore shouts from an user by entering its user id. You can unignore shouts from that user later by using the /deignore command.
/deignore :
/deignore user user_name : Unignore shouts from an user, previously ignored by using the /ignore command, by entering its username.
/deignore uid user_id : unignore shouts from an user, previously ignored by using the /ignore command, by entering its id.
/showignore : Open a window which shows all the users you have ignored.
If you hit the question mark icon, it brings up these commands...
if you hit the black back arrow icon (next to the question mark), it will take you to a full screen chat box.
You can IM one single user by typing in /pm or /mp
