I too have never heard of either of those.

With my own kids we somehow just got in the habit of calling cleaning products "chemicals". If we are at home or happen to be out and there is a product that we don't want the kids to touch we just say "No, chemical!" Somehow that word has struck fear in the kids. We were actually at Home Depot last weekend and looking at lawn products. Well the kids got close to the fertilizer and we simply said "chemical" and it stopped them in their tracks.

If I remember correctly I think growing up my Mom would just say "touch it and die". It seemed to work- we're still here!
