 family photos
So I was wondering how many of you display photos of yourselves (plus family, with friends, etc.) at home. DH and I recently bought a new house, and it's not decorated AT ALL. Last weekend, we had a party, and I put out a few photos of us from our wedding. DH said it made us look like we're full of ourselves... just having pix of only ourselves out. I said that those were the only ones I had available, and I wanted to put something out because the plain beige walls look too boring! Besides, I don't think it's being full of ourselves... that was a really happy day, and I like looking at pictures! (And it is OUR house!)
Now, DH HATES having his picture taken. I, on the otherhand, like being the "photographer." I love taking millions of photos. I'm pretty sure this is because I have a horrible memory, and pictures of events ensure the events' place in my mind. I almost always respect his wishes on pictures... but I think he was being silly on this one. Is it really egotistical to have pictures of yourselves in YOUR home? Just wondering your opinions. |
